Hylton Performing Arts Center Goes the “Extra” Mile

Interested in seeing top tier talent in an intimate setting for a reasonable price? Hylton Performing Arts Center’s Extra Series offers performance-goers exactly that. Located near the Science and Technology campus of George Mason University in Manassas, the Hylton Center is a world-class venue. This exquisite venue features Merchant Hall, a 1,123-seat theater which provides visitors an up-close experience with a variety of artists.

The Hylton Extra Series is able to bring in widely known talent by booking artists who may be traveling up and down the east coast for scheduled shows. As the artists travel from one region to the next, they often have a day or two between shows. Looking to perform in Northern Virginia between shows, those artists will contact the Hylton Center to determine if space is available. Because an artist is between performance dates, the Hylton Center is able to secure a better rate from the artist and pass that savings on to ticket-buyers.

Thanks to the Hylton Extra Series, fans have enjoyed performances by artists like Charlie Daniels, Art Garfunkel, Rosanne Cash, Richard Thompson and Paul Anka. Typically, these top artists only perform at larger venues for higher ticket prices. With Hylton Center’s Extra Series, ticket-holders enjoy top-notch performances in a more intimate setting for a reasonable price!
